David Carson gets a lot of stick. I don’t like a lot of his work from an aesthetic point of view, but I feel his ethos and approach to his work is something we should all admire. His TED lecture is pretty good, but really gets interesting in the last 2-3 minutes, so if you can’t be bothered to watch the full 20, just skip to the end.
